Skate clinic
On Saturday January 12th, Join the Pagosa Nordic Club for a Free Learn to X-C Ski Clinic from 10am till noon, at the Pagosa Springs Golf Course. This is a great opportunity to learn basic skills and tips to help you feel more comfortable with your equipment, and encouraging you to get out on the trails more often. Participants will be able to choose between beginner or intermediate levels for X-C Skate Ski or Classic X-C (kick and glide) instruction from some of the areas best skiers. You will need to bring all your ski equipment and dress warm. All local ski shops are offering discount rentals for the clinic, just mention you are attending the clinic and want the discount on rental gear. Please email the club at PagosaNordic@Gmail.Com to let us know you are going to attend and what style of skiing and your ability level, so we can be sure to have enough instructors for the event, however, if you forget to RSVP, please come anyway! If you miss this clinic, or want to attend another, the Pagosa Nordic Club is hosting another free clinic on February 2nd.

The Pagosa Nordic Club invites you to a fun
Moonrise / Sunset Family X-C SKI Social
this Friday, January 14th at COYOTE HILL Nordic Trails.
Show up anytime after 4pm and ski the groomed trails at your leisure.
Enjoy your ski under the colorful skies back to the parking lot
for some free soup & chili while socializing next to the campfire
with hot cocoa and s'mores.
You may bring something to share though not required.
A great activity for families, and skiers of all ages and abilities.
Dress warm and bring your Head lamps or flashlights.
Let us know if you are able to bring a crock pot of soup or chili.
Coyote Hill is located 6.5 miles north on Piedra road (from Hwy 160)
on the east side (right) of Piedra Road.

FREE X Country Ski Clinic

The Pagosa Nordic Club will host this great FREE introductory Cross Country Ski clinic.Come learn how to make these outdoor winter activities even more enjoyable. This 2 hour clinic is a great opportunnity to get more familar with skate skiing and classic cross country skiing techniques for beginers and intermidiates. Send us an email at pagosanordicclub@yahoo.com and let us know you want to join us. Most Local ski shops are offering discounted X-C Ski rentals for this event, just mention you are attending the free clinic. You will need to have your equipment arranged for ahead of time and be prepared to start at 9:45am.

Learn to Ski Day, Jan. 9th
The Pagosa Nordic Club will host a FREE LEARN TO CROSS COUNTRY SKI AND SNOWSHOE CLINIC on Saturday January 9, 2010 at the Alpine Haus Ski Center located at the Golf Course clubhouse. The event will start at 9am and participants will be able to choose from beginner to intermediate levels of Skate Skiing, Classic Cross Country Skiing and Snowshoeing instruction. Check with Local ski shops as they will be offering discounted gear for the event. You will need to rent your gear prior to the event. This free event is designed to introduce and familiarize people to the sports of Skate Skiing, Classic Cross Country Skiing or Snowshoeing. All ages are encouraged to attend.
